Ladies Triples
The Ladies Triples was won by Ellen Foster, Mo Woolley and Shelagh Allen, picture below with Trustee Roy Akers.
Mixed Pairs Plate (left), Main Mixed Pairs (right)
Mixed Pairs Plate final between Ellen Foster and Ron Foster and Ros Cheeseman and Ron Clee was won by Ros and Ron. They are seen holding the Earl Spenser Trophy and the Freda Hargrave Trophy.
John Wilsdon and Barbara Price played Gwen Burke and John Beale in the main Mixed Pairs final for the Alfred Woolf cup and the Gordon Stitson cup. Gwen and John were the victors.
Singles
Ladies Singles Winner Steph Crates and Runner up Ellen Foster. Mens Singles Winner Grant Allen and Runner up Gary Fox. The Pitt Cup was awarded to Jim Roll as the best Herne Bay player not winning a prize.
Mixed One Day Event
The Robert Day cup was presented today to Ted Milton and his team, Alf Collar, Brian Gisby, Joyce Whitlock and Ann Moon. The team were victorious in the new Open Tournament - Mixed One day event. Players took part in games of rinks, singles, pairs and triples. Ted and his team won all 6 games, winning 12 points and 38 shot difference. Bill Robb and his team were runners up and Ellen Fosters team came 3rd. The wooden spoons were presented to Janet Mee and her team, Paul Evans, Trish Shepheard, John Rowe and Keith Yerrill. Our thanks go to Ray and Alison Taylor who sponsored the event and presented the prizes in the name of their father Bob Taylor.
